Want more than a job? We're looking for a motivated, skilled, and enthusiastic Commis Chef and Chef de Partie to grow within our award-winning team.


ABOUT THE ROLE

Joining Executive Chef Robin Wickens and a passionate kitchen team, this unique and highly sought-after opportunity will see you work in a fast-paced environment with a menu focused on sustainable and seasonal produce. 


Our kitchen is driven by the philosophy if we can't grow it, we don't use it. This opportunity will see you harvest daily from our 1.2ha kitchen garden and develop your understanding of seasonal produce. 


You will commence working a fortnightly roster in Parker St Project (Wednesday - Saturday) with 3-day weekends (Sunday - Tuesday).


You will take responsibility and ownership of your assigned kitchen section, ensuring food is prepared according to standard recipes, and assist other sections and juniors in the kitchen.

Great earning potential with paid overtime available across a 4-day roster


REQUIREMENTS

Commercial Cookery Certification or equivalent work experience

Driver's licence & reliable vehicle would be advantageous but is not essential

Demonstrated experience within a fine-dining establishment preferred 

Demonstrated leadership capabilities

Excellent English

REMUNERATION


Salary package circa $73,150-$80,000+ p.a. depending on skills and experience.

Dunkeld is a small regional town (population approx. 1000). The town is made for meandering with the beautiful Dunkeld arboretum, a local favourite.


Dunkeld, a 2021 finalist in Victoria’s Top Small-Town Awards, is also known for its friendly and welcoming community.


Depending on your personal needs, various options are available, from shared houses to family homes, furnished or unfurnished. And you can say goodbye to the daily commute as housing is close to the hotel giving you more free time.
